Doug has over 20 years of experience in sports and recreation center management and has previously worked at three start-up sports facilities where he helped build their programming and operations from the ground up. Now, as the General Manager of Rocky Top Sports World, Doug will use his management expertise to maintain Rocky Top’s place among the nation’s elite youth sports facilities.
Doug’s role as General Manager is to lead the Rocky Top Sports World team through the day-to-day operations. He is in charge of building and fostering new and current partnerships with companies and stakeholders in the area as well as event operators across the country. Doug also analyzes facility performance and continuously develops staff to ensure that annual growth objectives are met or exceeded.
While serving as the General Manager of the Upward Star Center, Doug hired and trained staff while managing the pre-opening tasks for the facility.
