Doug Grote

Doug has over 20 years of experience in sports and recreation center management and has previously worked at three start-up sports facilities where he helped build their programming and operations from the ground up. Now, as the Regional General Manager for The Sports Facilities Companies, Doug helps multiple venues to grow and be successful by leading his assigned venues and helping other General Managers to do the same.

Doug is responsible for the operational success of multiple venues across his region. His leadership focuses on driving commercial success while maintaining high operational standards. Doug’s approach involves implementing effective marketing programs and fostering community partnerships to enhance the economic impact of each venue. He leads his teams by emphasizing collaboration and innovation, ensuring that each facility meets its revenue goals while providing outstanding customer experiences. Doug also ensures compliance with company policies and collaborates with stakeholders to drive sustainable growth and operational efficiency.

While serving as the General Manager of the Upward Star Center, Doug hired and trained staff while managing the pre-opening tasks for the facility.
