The Skating Club of Boston’s Norwood facility opened in 2020 and is a world-class venue that honors the history of the Skating Club of Boston, which was founded in 1912 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious skating organizations in the United States. The facility spans 135,000 square feet and has three rinks–one Olympic-sized and two NHL-sized. It also has a fitness center with a dance studio, a pro shop, and a cafe. The Richard T. Button Trophy Room celebrates the club’s legacy of competitive success and even contains a few Olympic gold medals from figure skaters Richard T. Button and Tenley Albright.
This club hosts a variety of significant events, including the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2025, the annual Boston Open, the Cranberry Cup International, and the Boston Synchronized Skating Classic. These events feature athletes around the globe.
