Toby is a sports management, sponsorship, and events veteran with over 25 years of experience in the industry, including serving as the President and COO of the WNBA Atlanta Dream where he helped increase sponsorship revenue by nearly 50 percent. Toby brings all the knowledge and experience he has gained over a successful career to his role as National Director, Sponsorship Sales.
As the Director of Sponsorship Sales, Toby is responsible for driving partnership revenue across the SFC Network and its venues. Toby most recently served as General Manager of the Fort Bend County Epicenter, opening a new 10,000 seat arena in Rosenberg, Texas in 2023. Through Toby’s business development efforts, his team secured over $700,000 in sponsorship revenue in year one of operations.
Prior to joining SFC, Toby was the Senior Director of Regional and Partnership Marketing for Academy Sports + Outdoors, a leading sports and outdoors retailer. Toby negotiated and managed a $20 million sponsorship portfolio that included partnerships with several NFL, MLB, NBA, MLS, and collegiate properties.
Toby also served as the Assistant General Manager of the Atlanta Braves Triple A affiliate in Gwinnett County, Georgia, where he sold the naming rights to Coolray Field for $11 million over 16 years, one of the largest naming rights deals in Minor League Baseball. Additionally, Toby worked as the Chief Growth Officer for Mainline, an esports tournament software company and helped them increase their revenue by 138%.
