Rita Mitchell has been in the ice facility industry for over 30 years. Having worked each position in an ice rink over that time, she has learned from the ground up what makes a rink successful. She has served as Regional Manager, overseeing multiple rinks simultaneously for several ice facilities across the East Coast, and served previously as the General Manager of the practice facility of the Washington Capitals of the NHL. She now serves as the Regional General Manager for The Sports Facilities Companies.
As Regional General Manager, Rita oversees a diverse portfolio of venues in her assigned region. Her role involves formulating strategic plans to optimize venue performance, ensuring that each facility delivers world-class events and experiences for audiences and athletes. Rita’s expertise in budget management and marketing strategy helps drive financial growth while maintaining operational excellence. She fosters a culture of exceptional customer service by motivating her teams to engage in local business development initiatives. Rita also collaborates with stakeholders to ensure compliance with company-wide policies and drive sustainable growth in each venue under her purview.
