Josh Callahan

Josh Callahan is a seasoned recreation facility management professional with more than 13 years of experience leading operations, projects, and business development across the sports and recreation industry. He has served in key roles including General Manager, Project Manager, and Regional Manager, working with a wide variety of venues and organizations nationwide. His experience spans facility openings, operational transitions, event and tournament management, and strategic growth initiatives. These experiences help Josh achieve excellence as a Vice President of Venue Management at The Sports Facilities Companies.

In this role, Josh oversees operational and administrative functions for several of our ice venues, ensuring a high-quality guest experience, financial success, and compliance with all regulations. Josh’s expertise in utilizing data-driven insights and modern technologies enables each venue to align with the objectives of their stakeholders while delivering meaningful value to the communities it serves. By fostering collaboration, optimizing operations, and managing risk, Josh plays a pivotal role in elevating guest experiences and expanding the economic reach of the organization’s venues.

In his previous role as Regional Manager with Rink Management Services Corporation, Josh oversaw the operational and administrative functions of multiple recreation venues. He has directed projects across the country and partnered with nationally recognized organizations, including the Atlanta Braves and Boston Bruins. Josh also helped strengthen programming and event offerings at River City Sportsplex, establishing it as a premier destination for tournaments and community recreation.
 
In addition to his professional work, Josh has contributed to the broader recreation community as a long-standing member of the Sustainability Committee for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run, where he helped the race achieve Gold Level Certification from the Council for Responsible Sport.
