Perfect Game, the United States’ preeminent host of amateur baseball events, engaged SFA to lead the selection of a new headquarters and flagship sports tourism destination baseball complex. Currently based in Iowa, Perfect Game hosts more than 100 tournaments and showcases each year, generates more than $200 million in direct spending to host locations on an annual basis, and brings an unrivaled spotlight to the top high school prep players in the country; in 2018, each of the top 67 players selected in the Major League Baseball Draft participated in Perfect Game events. SFA issued a request for proposals in October 2018, and as of January 2019 has received proposals from more than one dozen destinations interested in become Perfect Game’s new home.
