AdventHealth Sports Park (Overland Park)
This recently opened 260,000-square-foot (420,000-sq-ft when phase 2 opens) indoor sports mecca will host an estimated 3.8 million visitors each year. It has become a premier destination for local and national tournaments for both amateur and professional sports, with eight basketball courts that can be converted to 16 volleyball courts, an ice arena, on-site concessions, and more. You can watch Heartland Soccer tournaments and then relax at the Bluhawk District, home to a movie theater, hotels, and a variety of dining options.
SCHEELS Stryker Sports Complex (Wichita)
SCHEELS Stryker Sports Complex is a premier sports facility designed to host a variety of athletic events and tournaments. The complex features 11 all-sports turf fields, each equipped with outdoor lighting, accommodating sports such as soccer, football, and lacrosse. The main stadium, known as the “Tommy Peckham Championship Field,” offers seating for approximately 1,800 spectators. This venue has hosted significant events, including the NJCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships.
In addition to the outdoor fields, the complex has a 112,000-square-foot indoor facility that can be configured into two multi-sport turf fields. This indoor space is ideal for year-round events and provides amenities, including locker rooms, office areas, and restrooms.
SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex (Overland Park)
The SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex is a nationally renowned soccer complex that features 12 lighted, regulation-size synthetic turf fields for optimal tournament play, day or night. The 96-acre venue also encompasses a fieldhouse, three concession stands, playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, and ample parking. The complex hosted the 2024 U.S. Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships, which will return in 2025. The event attracted over 6,800 attendees and generated a $7 million economic impact across the Kansas City metro area, with $2.4 million in direct spending in Overland Park alone.

Blue Valley Recreation Complex (Overland Park)
The Blue Valley Recreation Complex is a 42-acre hub for sports and community engagement, featuring 24 well-maintained fields, including eight lighted baseball/softball diamonds and four full-sized soccer fields. Opened in the late 1980s and managed by the Blue Valley Recreation Commission, the complex has evolved with cutting-edge upgrades, enabling it to host prestigious tournaments and events that draw visitors from across the Midwest. While the AASA youth baseball tournaments and Blue Valley Rec leagues are must-see, the spaces–which vary from athletic fields to playgrounds–have something for everyone.
Mid-America Sports Complex (Shawnee)
The Mid-America Sports Complex is a premier destination for competitive and recreational sports, spanning an impressive area with 10 meticulously maintained softball diamonds designed for league play, tournaments, and special events. This venue supports $25 million in regional spending annually and is home to the NSA Softball World Series and regional triple-crown baseball tournaments. Established in the 1980s, the complex has undergone renovations to stay modern and meet the needs of athletes and spectators alike, including upgraded lighting, turf improvements, and expanded amenities like concession stands and ample seating areas.
