Halloween is getting a full-schedule treatment across The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) network—and this year, the fun goes far beyond candy bowls and carved pumpkins. Across the country, venues are getting into the spirit with creative ways to play, compete, connect, and celebrate.

Check out this roundup of events making this spooky season one to remember.

1. Boo Bash at Chisenhall Fields Sports Complex

October 24, 5:30–8:30 p.m. | Chisenhall Fields Sports Complex, Burleson, Texas

Chisenhall Fields Sports Complex is partnering with the City of Burleson and Burleson Independent School District for a Boo Bash featuring a sensory-friendly trunk-or-treat experience.

The event highlights the value of inclusive community programming. By creating space for sensory-friendly participation, Chisenhall Fields can help more families enjoy Halloween activities in a setting designed to feel welcoming and accessible.

2. Fright in the Fort at PSM Icehouse

October 24–25 | PSM Icehouse, Fort Wayne, Indiana

PSM Icehouse is bringing back its 3rd Annual Fright in the Fort for a full weekend of youth hockey and family-friendly Halloween programming. The main public activities take place Saturday, October 24, with Hat Trick or Treat from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and two Spooky Skate sessions from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Hat Trick or Treat is free and includes costumed trick-or-treating, decorated vehicles, candy, and a returning lineup from Street Style Classic Cars. The Spooky Skate sessions add costumes, music, colorful lighting, and a Halloween atmosphere on the ice. The weekend also includes an 8U hockey jamboree featuring teams from across the region, making Fright in the Fort both a community celebration and a youth sports showcase.

3. Hartselle Spooktacular at Hartselle Parks & Recreation

October 30, 6–8 p.m. | Hartselle Youth Soccer Complex | Hartselle Parks & Recreation, Hartselle, Alabama

Hartselle Parks & Recreation is turning Halloween night into a full evening of family fun with its annual Hartselle Spooktacular. The free community event will feature Trunk or Treat, hayrides, and a Halloween hay maze.

When the evening activities wrap up, guests can settle in under the stars for a free outdoor showing of the 1998 Halloween classic Halloweentown, beginning at 8 p.m. Families are encouraged to come in costume and bring trick-or-treat bags, lawn chairs, blankets, and optional snacks or drinks.

With candy-filled trunks, hay-filled adventures, and a nostalgic movie finale, Hartselle Spooktacular offers a little something for every member of the family!

4. PickleBOO Bash at Burlington Pickleball

October 30, 6–8:30 p.m. | Burlington Pickleball, Burlington, North Carolina

Burlington Pickleball is serving up its 2nd Annual PickleBOO Bash on October 30. Families and individual players can join the Halloween-themed event for round-robin play, with a costume contest adding a festive twist to the competition.

Participation is $10 per player or $30 for a family. It is a fun reminder that Halloween programming does not have to look the same at every venue—sometimes the best way to celebrate is to grab a paddle, put on a costume, and let the games begin.

5. Paradise Coast Sports Complex’s 6th Annual Fall Fest

October 31, 1–4 p.m. | Paradise Coast Sports Complex, Naples, Florida

Paradise Coast Sports Complex is celebrating Halloween weekend with its 6th Annual Fall Fest. The free, all-ages event is scheduled for Halloween day.

The afternoon’s festivities include costume parades, trunk-or-treat activities, a foam fest, bounce houses, face painting, remote-controlled car races, fire truck visits, crafts, and more. With a mix of active play, seasonal traditions, and family-friendly entertainment, Fall Fest turns a sports complex into a neighborhood celebration.

6. Halloween Hullabaloo Volleyball at Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus

October 30–November 1 | Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus, Wesley Chapel, Florida

For athletes that can never get enough court time, Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus of Pasco County is hosting Halloween Hullabaloo Volleyball from October 30 through November 1.

The event adds a spooky-season theme to a weekend of competition and gives volleyball players another opportunity to gather, compete, and make memories at an SFC venue. It is a fitting example of how tournaments and special events can bring seasonal energy to sports facilities without losing sight of the game.

Halloween Is Better When Communities Celebrate Together

Across the SFC network, these events show the many ways sports and recreation venues can bring people together to celebrate in a place their community already gathers.

The Sports Facilities Companies helps communities plan, develop, and manage sports, recreation, ice, aquatics, wellness, and events facilities designed to serve people year-round. To learn how SFC can support your next facility or community destination, visit sportsfacilities.com.
