Johnny has over twenty years of experience in content development, across a variety of platforms, including digital, social, and print media. He’s an innovative storyteller whose passion for strategic communications has led to success in multiple roles. He served as a content and SEO strategist for a national digital marketing agency, a college football writer for an Atlanta-based publication, and as a public relations specialist for a media relations firm serving the cycling industry. Johnny brings this wide range of experiences and best practices to his role as SEO & Content Specialist at Sports Facilities Companies.
In this position, Johnny develops content campaigns, including long-form and video content, that amplify SFC’s thought leadership. In 2020, Johnny led a full redesign of the SFC website, including the addition of over 100 pages of new content. The new site is designed to highlight our continuum of services via the Concept to Concrete framework, connect visitors with the thought leaders providing those services, and drive more leads through new and enhanced calls to action.
In an effort to bolster SFC’s video content, Johnny led the development of two educational series, the Explainer Series and the Industry Leaders Roundtable. In the Explainer series, experts from all phases of facility planning, development, management, and optimization provide short descriptions of various services in an easily digestible format. In the Industry Leaders Roundtable, leaders from the sports tourism, community recreation, real estate development, and facility design industries come together to discuss critical issues and offer solutions for our audience.
Johnny is a dedicated communicator who produces a food and beverage podcast in the Tampa Bay area and has developed content to support non-profits in both the Tampa Bay and Atlanta areas.
