(Pecos, TX) June 9, 2021 – Cyclone Ballparks in Pecos, Texas, has hired a local community member to lead the team at the state-of-the-art baseball complex opening this summer. After a national search Sports Facilities Companies (SFC), which oversees the project in partnership with the Town of Pecos City, has selected Cathy Garcia as General Manager.
Garcia is a Pecos resident where her career began in 2008 as General Manager in the hospitality industry. She has worked for hotel brand names such as Best Western, Best Western Plus, Choice hotels, and others. She also has extensive experience in food and beverage management. In addition to hospitality, she has played a significant role in the community. She was Vice President of the Pecos Little League in 2008 and remains an active member of the board to this day.
“Cathy is the ideal person to fill this position,” says Lori Moore, Account Executive of SFC. “Not only is she a local resident in Pecos, but she is a seasoned professional in management overseeing large infrastructures. She brings a wealth of knowledge to Cyclone Ballparks in this space. Her experience in hospitality will serve the greater Pecos area well in hosting regional events and building relationships to spur growth in tourism.”
About her new role as General Manager, Garcia adds, “It is an honor to join the Sports Facilities Companies and serve as the General Manager for Cyclone Ballparks. I am proud to represent the Pecos community and I look forward to getting to know the greater region of West Texas to bring new business to our area.”
