Sports assets purpose-built to host large-scale events & drive tourism
Sports tourism drives thousands of annual visitors with tournaments & events
Travel sports destination properties are purpose-built to do more than host games — they are economic engines that bring communities to life. By attracting regional, national, and even international tournaments, these destinations drive consistent visitation, hotel stays, restaurant traffic, and repeat tourism dollars. Designed as true placemaking assets, they blend competition with experience, offering walkable districts, family-friendly amenities, and flexible event spaces that activate a community year-round. Beyond the fields and courts, these destinations elevate a city’s profile, strengthen its brand, and position it as a must-visit hub for sports, recreation, and entertainment.
SFC helps you evaluate the opportunity, build the right strategy, and manage the process end-to-end—so you get the upside, while staying in full control.

“When we went out looking for a partner, we couldn’t have found a better one than SFC- with the knowledge to operate these facilities, operate them efficiently and effectively, and be willing to take on all kinds of new partners. This is a huge project, The Sports Empire, to the extent that it will take many different cooks in one single kitchen, which demands that we all get along and that we all have a common vision. When SFC was willing to make that commitment to the city of Ontario, it made it so much easier to be able to work with them and other partners to pull together this vision.”
Scott Ochoa
City Manager
City of Ontario, CA
“It gave us data to back up what we’re doing. It shared information from what’s happening across the country with new trends and what other destinations are doing and finding success in and so it really has impacted the community, because it’s open city leadership’s eyes in terms of how we can really support new initiatives.”
