Ellen Schnackel is the Director of Local Programming for The Sports Facilities Companies, leading the strategy and standards for community-focused programs across the SF Network. In her role, she partners with venue leadership teams to design and optimize leagues, camps, clinics, and classes that drive participation, deepen community engagement, and expand access to quality recreation experiences.
As Director of Local Programming, Ellen oversees the development of SFC-led program models, curricula, and operating playbooks that help facilities balance local resident access with sports tourism and event demand. She collaborates closely with SFM operations, marketing, and business development to ensure local programming supports each community’s goals for economic impact, health, and quality of life.
Ellen brings a strong background in sports and recreation programming, with experience shaping youth sports, community recreation, and family-focused experiences in a variety of venue settings. Throughout her career, she has focused on building inclusive, welcoming program environments that encourage long-term participation and help athletes and families feel connected to their home venues.
